Dr John Hunter
Dr John Hunter is an oceanographer at ACE CRC and is the developer of the method being presented in this series of seminars and workshops. His current interests are the sea level rise induced by climate change, and the response of Antarctic ice shelves to global warming. Recent work has involved investigations of sea level rise in Australia, the U.S., and in the Indian Ocean and Pacific regions, and the way in which this rise increases the frequency of extreme sea level events.
Dr Fred Pribac
Dr Fred Pribac is a sea-level rise consultant with the Antarctic Climate & Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre based in the University of Tasmania. He has eighteen years experience in the numerical modelling of geophysical and biological phenomenon including mantle convection, bioremediation of hydrocarbon contaminant plumes in groundwater, global transport of atmospheric carbon dioxide and fisheries stock assessments. Since 1998 through to his current appointment he has worked to analyse fisheries data and to give stock assessment advice as a CSIRO member on several commonwealth fisheries research assessment groups for the Australian Fisheries Management Authority. In this capacity he has developed extensive experience in collaborating with industry, management and other stakeholders to provide practical scientific advice in order to inform management.
