Workshops
FREE training workshops designed specifically for planners, engineers and other stakeholders, will be held around Australia, commencing in Hobart in early 2009.
Training will be provided in the use of an interactive web-based tool which helps to determine the likelihood of future flooding based on location, asset life and greenhouse emission scenario. This will enable policymakers, planners and owners of coastal infrastructure to:
- assess the risk to existing infrastructure,
- set guidelines for maintenance of existing and new infrastructure and
- set appropriate design codes for new infrastructure.
NOTE: a laptop computer is desirable but not essential for participation.
Remember to charge the battery if you bring your laptop.
